Recently my husband and I were blessed to receive the sweetest baby we could ask for. During my pregnancy I asked God to help me discover a gift/talent that would allow me to bring joy to other people and take care of my daughter as well. God gave me the gift of photography. I have been tremendously blessed to take beautiful photographs of some of the most wonderful subjects. It has truly been a blessing to bring joy and happiness to my clients. Isaiah 61:3 says, "God will bestow upon them a crown of beauty for ashes." That's what looking at my daughter's smile does for me. No matter how my day has gone, looking at her smile makes everything alright. It turns the ashes of my day into something beautiful. Whether it be in pictures or in person, her smile forever brings joy to my heart. This is the same joy I strive to bring to my clients each and every time they look at the photos I've taken. I make every effort to capture in my photos, the beauty that lives on the inside of us all. |

On Thursday, September 10th, 2009, I was advised by my former employer that my services were no longer needed. Ironically, I had already started laying the foundation for Tihera Enterprises, which encompasses Itsmelv and Surles Girls Jewelry. The company was actually birthed from my giving. I often purchased costume jewelry for myself and found myself giving it away when I received compliments. My line initially started with $2 pieces that I sold to get lunch money to splurge with my co workers. Both Itsmelv and Surles Girls Jewelry offer a line of fashion jewelry that range from $2.00 to $20.00. I have recently started to incorporate a few more high end designer style pieces. The company is a mobile based business, which specializes in home parties and vending opportunities. My goal has been to provide an affordable option to looking fabulous. Since 2009 I have found new distributors and have expanded the line. My biggest desire at this point is to book my calendar with repeat events, conferences and parties. I am currently in the process of hiring consultants to help take the business to the next level. I want to be the only call you make for your fashion jewelry needs.

As a budding entrepreneur, I am in the process of establishing my primary business venture and some smaller projects that cater to my talents and hobbies. My greatest desire is to open an event hall that not only has a modern concept and creates a regal party experience but also showcases the art work of middle and high school students in the Smyrna area. My idea has received support from the Pepsi Cola corporation and was displayed on their website for public vote, offering the possibility of receiving a $50,000 grant. Also, I have created two blogs that I post on weekly. 4mysistas caters to connecting with all women by discussing issues that we as women go through. Partypizzaz offers ideas and answers questions regarding those details that party enthusiasts encounter when trying to create the ultimate party experience. Projects for the future include creating a magazine that focuses on the same concepts as the partypizzaz blog, developing a prominent network affiliation for women with stellar business practices that are committed to producing the best product possible and growing my event hall venture to include nationwide locations!

Being an entrepreneur is in my blood. I love working for myself and preparing a legacy for my children. But in the past couple of years I have been pushed to do what comes natural and that is bake. I have been baking since I was 10 yrs old, learning how to make all types of dessert from scratch. Our company "mantra" is We Make Life Sweeter, and we strive to d o it with each cupcake. Cupcakes are what we have daily, but whole cakes can be done as requested. In the future I would like to partner with the Girl Scouts of America to teach girls how to bake. |

A proud mommy moment is what gave me the idea for The Bling Project. I had already tackled the idea of “mom” jerseys and baby tees so now I wanted to take it to the next level. What better way to do that than to add some bling! It was at my son’s baseball game that I wore my first TBP creation and moms have been ordering ever since. That was when I realized that I was a part of a market that nobody thought of…park moms. From that point on I have been taking orders simply by word of mouth referrals. My mind and dreams have been filled with ideas for different designs that cater to “untapped” markets and now it’s time to make my dream a reality! My short term goals include establishing a strong web presence with online shopping capability and determining the most effective advertising strategies for my business. My ultimate goals include securing contracts with schools or parks as the exclusive provider for their bling attire and having boutiques and large chain stores carry my line!

As a busy mother and wife who is always working hard for someone else, I finally realized that it was about time I started working for myself. I am an over achiever who goes above and beyond to do whatever others ask of me....so I asked myself "why not go above and beyond with your own company" and so Exquisitely Elegant Brides was created. The idea initiated while searching for a wedding dress for myself. I was shocked when I noticed what some people were willing to pay and at how many brides go into debt for bridal attire. I set out to create a store where a bride can purchase the same beautiful gown with discounts up to 70% of the retail cost. My business is currently an online boutique but my hopes are to soon open a store front. A woman’s wedding day is one of the most important days of her life and she shouldn't have to settle for less due to financial restrictions. My main objective is to provide beautifully hand crafted gowns at exceptional pricing. |
